Grey Rock Trail Run is Home to the Toughest 50K

Awaken all of your senses at the 4th Annual Tampico Grey Rock 50K Trail Run on July 12, 2008. The run winds you over and through noted landmarks such as White's Ridge, Foundation Ridge, Grey Rock Trailhead, and Ewe Neck. Participants will rise and fall over 6,000 feet of elevation, and you are sure to see Mt. Adams and Mt. Rainier. Tampico is a mere 30 miles from Yakima, and the run is hosted by the Ahtanum Valley Museum. Go to www.ahtanumvalleymuseum.org for more information.




Head to the YMCA's House for USA Dance Lessons

The Yakima Chapter of USA Dance is hosting special dance classes featuring renowned Seattle dance instructor Jeff House on May 16th and 17th. On Friday, private instuctions will take place followed by a dance in the evening. Saturday sessions include the waltz, salsa/mambo, the foxtrot, and the rumba. The public is welcome. Central Washington's premiere bicycle ride featuring a choice of four scenic routes: 25, 50 , 70 or 100 miles! Winding over the ridges of the upper Yakima Valley, each route features rewarding landmarks of the area. The fully supported event includes numerous break stops and snacks, and a BBQ celebration at the finish line. 5400 ft climbing on the 100 mile route!

Your Canyon for a Day Bike Tour To Support Yakima County Crime Stoppers

Adult State Open Invitational at Gateway Headlines 2008 Softball Schedule

The ASA Softball Season is about to kickoff at Kiwanis Fields at the Gateway Sports Complex. Men can knock the rust off their game on April 4-6 with the Early Bird tournament. New to the Gateway Complex Calendar this year are the ASA State Adult Open Invitational along with two girls fastpitch tournaments, the Dry-out Tournament (held in conjunction with Carlon Park in Selah) and the 10U A/B Regional Tournament.

One of the states finest softball complexes, Gateway, is professionally operated by the Yakima Parks and Recreation Department.
