Constructed in 1993, Yakima County Stadium is home to the Yakima Bears, a minor league professional team affiliated with the Arizona Diamondbacks. The facility is also used for high school regional and state tournaments as well as other special events. Yakima County Stadium is located at State Fair Park (formerly known as the Central Washington Fairgrounds). The Yakima Bears (509-457-5151) control the facility from May to mid-September each year. The remainder of the year State Fair Park (509-248-7160) operates the facility. The facility can be rented for events. Yakima County Stadium features permanent seating for about 2,800 people, with a total capacity of approximately 3,000. This includes about 1,500 seats with backs. The press box provides adequate space for media and play-by-play announcers. The scoreboard combines the technology of an electronic message center and old fashioned hand-placed numbers for runs, hits, errors and score by innings. The stadium has three separate concession areas, four restrooms, two spacious clubhouses, an umpire room and plenty of parking.

Located on the campus of Yakima Valley Community College, Parker Field is the home park for both the YVCC baseball program in the spring and the Yakima Beetles American Legion team in the summer. Yakima Youth Baseball has hosted American Legion State and Regional tournaments here, as well as the American Legion World Series. Parker Field is also utilized for high school state and regional tournaments. Capacity is approximately 2500. The Yakima Bears played in this facility from 1990-92. Davis High School

On the campus of the 4A Davis Pirates, this facility is used extensively for high school, Junior Legion, and youth baseball. High school district and regional playoff games are also played here. Much of the viewing area is elevated about ten feet above the field, providing great sight lines for fans. Permanent bleachers are also located down the third base line. Fixed seating capacity is about 800. There is plenty of room for lawn chairs, expanding the total capacity well beyond that figure. This facility is operated by the Yakima School District. The facility includes a concession stand, restrooms and a pressbox. There is on-street parking surrounding the facility.

Wood Field-Carlon Park

This facility is home to the Selah Vikings and the Yakima Valley Pepsi Pak American Legion Baseball team. A quality facility that has been steadily improved, Wood Field has hosted a variety of high school and American Legion baseball tournaments. The facility is operated by the Selah School District. Mike Archer is the contact. The facility does offer a concession stand and restrooms.

Three state of the art softball fields opened for play in 2005. The complex also includes two other fields with plans to upgrade them to the same level in the future. The facility includes a concession stand, souvenir area, tournament office, a picnic shelter and nice restrooms. There is also nice paved parking adjacent to the new fields. This complex is home to high school regional and state tournaments. It hosts everything from youth fastpitch to adult slow pitch leagues and tournaments. In its first season, the complex hosted ASA, NSA and ISA tournaments. Yakima Parks and Recreation (509-575-6020) handles the booking of all games played at the complex. Dunbar Field

Recently upgraded and refurbished from playing surface to the pressbox, Dunbar is the home field of the YVCC Women’s Fastpitch team. In addition, Yakima Youth Baseball launched a girls fastpitch program in 2005. The Yakima Pepsi Lady Bears (18U), the Yakima Stealers (16U) and the Yakima Webcats (16U) will also utilize this facility. Yakima Valley Community College operates the facility. This facility is recognized as one of the finest fastpitch facilities in the state, and it also serves as the home complex for the Greater Yakima Girls Softball Association. The youth fastpitch organization runs local leagues and hosts numerous tournaments.
